Three Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service crews from Thetford, Sprowston and East Harling were also on scene to assist the ambulance service.
Witnesses at the scene said the incident had taken place at Easy Cleaning Solutions, a company that produces chemical cleaning products.
Previously known as Jeyes, the company has both its headquarters and factory at the large site where it employs more than 200 in the manufacture of products such as bleach, antiseptic and disinfectant liquid.
In 2019, the factory was evacuated after a fire involving chemicals broke out, requiring dozens of firefighters to tackle the blaze.
