A five-star holiday resort based on the Norfolk coast has been given the green light for a major expansion.
The new development at Potters Resorts in Hopton will include new accommodation being built in the form of 51 "Wave Suites" looking out to the North Sea.
In addition, the approved plans will see an extension to the par three golf course and additional parking facilities with more electric vehicle charging points.
John Potter, chairman of Potters Resorts, said: “We are continuously investing in our guest experience, and this latest development will raise standards even further, helping us remain at the top of our game.”
The planning statement says that the "Wave Suites" will "feature a unique, contemporary design" and will represent some of the "highest-quality accommodation" in the UK holiday industry.
It adds that each suite will be built in a factory in Great Yarmouth thus "providing local jobs" before being transported the short distance down the A47 to the Hopton.
Some of the golf course holes will be relocated to occupy a small portion of the "Thirty Acre Field", as per the plans.

The business has a 105-year history after being founded in 1920 in Hemsby before locating in Hoptn in 1924 and remains privately owned and operated by the Potter family, with fourth-generation John Potter at the helm.
A planning statement submitted by the applicant says the business is always working hard to "secure the future of Potters Resort" by making improvements to ensure the "highest standard" so it "remains competitive in an increasingly diverse and demanding market".
Documents from the applicant say that the business has "thrived by staying relevant to current trends and guest expectations".
Potters Resorts employs approximately 900 team members, with 550 based in Hopton, which it says makes it the largest single-site tourism employer in the Great Yarmouth Borough.
