A 41-year-old has been jailed for seven months after repeatedly punching and kicking a man in Norwich.
The attack happened in the early hours of September 5 in London Street when Brian McCadie struck the victim with his backpack who then sat down before he continued to attack him.
CCTV then caught McCadie repeatedly kicking and punching the victim in the head - which had already flopped down to his chest following the initial strike.
McCadie could then be seen delivering "stomp" style kicks to the victim's head, who was later taken to hospital after a member of the public found him.
Upon arriving on the scene, officers discovered a blood trail leading from London Street to St Andrew's Hill - with investigations showing that McCadie had assaulted the victim just around the corner.

He was later arrested in Riverside Road, where he spat at one of the arresting officers, before being taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
McCadie, of no fixed address, appeared at Norwich Crown Court on November 8 after previously pleading guilty to grievous bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker at King’s Lynn Magistrates’ Court on October 17.
He was handed a seven-month prison sentence.
