A popular city centre ice cream business is set to get a major revamp as it moves into a new permanent location.
Joe's Place, formerly known as Giuseppino Ices, will leave its temporary pink and white kiosk in Hay Hill and will be replaced with a larger timber-clad building at the site.
Plans for signs and awnings to drape over the business' new hatch, which were submitted to Norwich City Council last month, have been given the green light.
During the revamp of Hay Hill it was decided that the ice cream business should be given a permanent site in the city centre square.

A planning statement said: "The use of a kiosk on Hay Hill is well established and was referenced as something that users of Hay Hill valued as an independent offer within the city.
"As such, it was decided by the design team for Hay Hill, following discussions with the current operator, that the kiosk should be an integral design feature of the redesigned public open space, coordinating with the rest of the design."
Joe’s Place, which is still based in its temporary kiosk, had planned to move into its new home during the summer but this was delayed due to setbacks in the £3.2 million redevelopment of the square.
Since Hay Hill reopened in the autumn there have been issues with the new water feature.

Leader of the council Mike Stonard said it had to ask Tarmac to fix the fountain when it began leaking shortly after construction and criticised "substandard work" completed by the contractors.
He claimed the project had also been impacted by supply chain issues, such as delays with the shipping of specialist stonework from Portugal.
The stall was initially left in an awkward position when it was partly fenced in after work started on the revamp of the city square in April last year.
