Police arrested two teenagers who fled the scene after they were alleged to have been making threats inside a city high street retailer.

Officers were called to Primark in Haymarket at 6pm on Tuesday (November 12) following reports of two males causing a disturbance inside the shop.

Witnesses say that they saw the suspects leaving the store on foot and continuing to shout abuse at the security guard who was on the phone with the police at the same time.

A spokeswoman for the force said that after a police search of the city, two males, aged 17 and 18, were arrested under Section 4 of the Public Order Act - Fear/Provocation of Violence.

Both were taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and later released on police bail until January 11, 2025.
