A dog who was kept in a pen for seven years is now hoping to get a new chance at life in Norfolk.
Noel is a medium-sized crossbreed, around nine years old, who was brought over to the UK by Safe Rescue for Dogs after being rescued in Romania.
He was kept in one of several pens for more than seven years with no access to any outside space causing him to initially be fearful of open spaces.
The pooch is currently being fostered by the Norfolk-based charity in Norwich and is described as a “sweet boy” who “enjoys sleep and food in equal measures”.

A spokesman for the charity said: “Noel is now going for walks in local woods and enjoying short strolls.
“He will need to build on these confidences before venturing to places where there are pedestrians and traffic but every journey begins with a first step right?”
Noel would need to live with another calm dog and could be cat-tested for a homechecked adopter.
Anyone interested in adopting Noel should contact Safe Rescue for Dogs via its website.
