A national bakery chain has opened its first Norfolk branch in the city centre.
From 8am today, the Cornish Bakehouse started serving pasties, sausage rolls and sweet treats to Norwich shoppers.
Customers are able to take away their hot treats to enjoy in the newly finished Hay Hill area.
Laura Miller-Boast, who works for the new branch of the national bakery chain, said: "I'm really excited.
"I think it is going to be popular in Norwich and I think it could be busy all day.

"Opening today is good timing, especially with the Christmas light switch on this evening.
"Lots of people walk past the shop every day and I think it is a great location to open in the city."
While the branch will normally be open from 8am to 6pm seven days a week, the bakery will be opening until late tonight so that those watching the light switch on can enjoy a hot drink and something sweet.
