Solar panels are set to appear on the roof of a town church.
Stalham Baptist Church, located at the junction of the High Street and Lower Staithe Road, has been given the green light by North Norfolk District Council to install 36 solar panels either side of its main roof.
A planning document said: "The church is looking to continue the improvements that have been carried out over recent years.
"The proposal will greatly reduce the carbon footprint of the church and result in the use of renewable energy."
The plans gained much support from the locals and the town council.

One person commented: "This would be of great benefit to the church and therefore the community of Stalham whom they support and provide for in many important ways.
"It would bring significant electricity savings without which the church would struggle to provide the activities that it does."
