A "beautiful" Victorian house in a seaside town is set to be turned back into two separate homes.
West Norfolk council has agreed plans to change the use of the property on Westgate in Hunstanton.
The proposals were backed by the council's assistant conservation officer Jane Forder.
"The conservation team has no objections to the proposal to return these beautiful buildings back into two separate properties," she said.
"No changes are proposed to the external appearance of the buildings and perhaps, this application will lead to the houses being occupied and tidied up, which will have a positive impact on the character and street scene of the conservation area."
A planning officer's report said the "highly-visible" site and house were in need of restoration.
The property stands near the seafront and opposite Hunstanton's former library and the town's bus station, which are set for a £2m redevelopment including a new library and tourist information centre.
