A biker who scared football players when he sped through in-use pitches has been slapped with a warning.

The action comes after the man was caught on CCTV travelling at speed through Kingsway Field in North Lynn as well as various football pitches while pulling wheelies.

The rider was issued a Community Protection Warning with any further anti-social behaviour now resulting in a final warning that if broken could lead to conviction and a fine of up to £2,500.

The motorbike could also be seized by police if the owner again engages in unlawful activity.

Cabinet member for People and Communities, Jo Rust, said: “The borough council is working with West Norfolk Police on their RISE campaign which is focusing on working with local people to make long-term improvements.

“This owner has allowed their motorbike to be ridden illegally and dangerously through Kingsway football field, damaging the pitch and causing alarm and distress to those users of the playing field who were present at the time.

"By issuing this warning we are making it clear to residents who misuse their property in an antisocial and inconsiderate manner that we will act. "
