A Norwich man has been accused of stalking after sending McDonald’s takeaways to a woman he is banned from contacting.

Aurelijus Jursevicius, 32, was made subject of a restraining order on September 4 but is alleged to have breached it by ordering for fast food to be delivered to the woman’s address without her knowledge or consent.

Appearing before Norwich Magistrates’ Court in custody he pleaded not guilty to stalking between November 5 and 11.

Jursevicius, of The Paddocks in Old Catton, also denied two breaches of the restraining order on November 8.

Sarah Fiddy, prosecuting, said he had "purposely disregarded" the order by making calls to the woman and sending text messages.

Magistrates denied a prosecution application for him to be remanded in custody. They granted conditional bail until he stands trial on April 7 next year.

Rachel Buck, defending, said he denied messaging the woman but admitted arranging delivery of a fast food order to her address; however he disputes that his amounted to contact or stalking.
