Vandals have smashed the bay window of a shop in a town centre.

They targeted Greetings Watton, on Watton High Street, some times between 6pm on Monday and 7.45am the following day.

Daniel Denyer, the owner, discovered the damage when he went to get the store ready for opening.

He said he found glass "strewn everywhere".

"There was glass everywhere, on the street and all over the shop inside.

"The window panes were smashed through and the wooden framework had been broken away.

"We're a dog and child-friendly shop we had to make sure the floor was completely clean of glass for children on their hands and knees."

Mr Denyer and his wife, Amber, then vacuum and shake out boxes of stock such as tubes of wrapping paper to ensure that there were no shards of glass left inside.
