Adverts urging football fans to watch an upcoming documentary about a local team have “accidentally” been plastered across a city 250 miles away.
Wroxham Football Club made quite the 'blunder’ this weekend after advertising materials to promote the new film ended up in Wales.
Ahead of the premiere of Welcome to Wroxham, the club put up posters, stickers and billboards around the city of Wrexham.
But many have questioned if it was a clever marketing ploy rather than a mistake.
Wrexham AFC was famously taken over by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in 2020, and their television series - Welcome to Wrexham - was released the next year documenting their journey as new club owners.

Chairman of Wroxham, James Blower, claims his team is regularly mixed up with Wrexham and after joining with new club sponsor Riot Labs, they decided to release a mockumentary to tell their side of the story.
“The way we see it, we've missed out on the Hollywood ownership by just one letter and we've had years of being mistaken for Wrexham,” he said.
"It will tell our side of the story, the club's unique history and characters such as Barry our 78-year-old groundsman.
"We've had a little mix-up with the signage company which has accidentally turned up in Wrexham and covered the city with Welcome to Wroxham posters."
Hey @Wrexham_AFC, can you let everyone know we’re NOT YOU? 😤

We’re Wroxham FC - one letter off, five divisions down, and getting mistaken for you daily.
It's time to tell our story.

Despite being five leagues below Wrexham, The Yachtsmen hope to raise the club's profile with the marketing ploy and spark a relationship between the clubs.

Wrexham fans appear to have responded positively to the Wroxham promotional materials, with many calling on the Hollywood stars to organise a friendly between the two teams.
"We've had a really positive reaction and it's had over a million views across social media,” Mr Blower added.
"We're hoping it will bring a wave of good fortune for Wroxham."
Welcome to Wroxham will premiere on YouTube and TikTok this Sunday at 9am.
