A teenage boy has been arrested after a spate of car thefts in a Norfolk village.

Norfolk Police were alerted to multiple vehicle break-ins on the morning of October 16, with cars targeted on Pightle Close and Breeze Close in Bradwell, near Great Yarmouth.

Two cars on Pightle Close were ransacked, with a bag stolen from one, while items were also taken from a car in Breeze Close.

There was a further report of a car broken into in Laurel Drive.

The teenage boy was arrested in connection with the incident on November 7. He was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Station for questioning.

He has since been released on bail until January 2025.

A spokesperson for Norfolk Police said that enquiries are ongoing.

(Image: Submitted) The thefts saw local councillor Carl Annison, who represents Lothingland ward on Great Yarmouth Borough Council, condemn the "vile behaviour" and call for more police presence in the village.

He urged residents to report all issues to Norfolk Police, and if a crime is in progress to call 999 immediately.
