Plans to extend a house by a Norfolk beach have been given the go-ahead.
West Norfolk council has agreed planning permission for a side extension and three roof terraces on the two-storey property next to Heacham North Beach.
A planning officers report said: "Due to the eclectic design of the area, it would be difficult to suggest the proposed design would not be sympathetic to the locality."
It said using glass to construct a balustrade for the terraces would "mimic" nearby properties.

It added that the number of bedrooms at the home would be reduced from five to three.
The building is close to flood defences, but the Environment Agency did not object because the extensions would not encroach on the sea wall.
The council's emergency planning officer said the owners should sign up to the EA's flood warning service and ensure they draw up an evacuation plan.
