Plans to create a new entrance to a farmer's field have been given the go-ahead - despite villagers' fears it could pave the way for future development.
West Norfolk Council has agreed planning permission for the new access at Wretton, near Downham Market, despite a strongly-worded objection from Wretton Parish Council.
Plans for two new homes on the field, off Chequers Road, were turned down in 2015 and 2016.

The parish council said: "There is reasonable concern, shared by the parish council, that if this application is approved, the applicant’s ultimate intention is to apply for further planning permission to build on the site.
"This suspicion is supported by the fact that this application has once again been submitted by an architect, which raises doubts about the true purpose of this application."
A planning statement on behalf of applicant A and R Morton said the field could previously be accessed via a property to the south which had now been sold with "no provision being made" for tractor access to the field.
It said the new access was needed for grass cutting, haymaking and grazing.
