A couple have applied to enlarge the gardens of their grand country property by an acre to provide a "beautiful and sustainable" extension.
David and Lisa Flux have applied to extend the gardens of Ashwicken Hall, near King's Lynn, by landscaping an acre of a neighbouring field.
Mr Flux is a leading partner with King's Lynn-based Adrian Flux Insurance and the current High Sheriff of Norfolk.
A previous application was withdrawn earlier this year, after council planning officers said a formal, domestic garden would be "detrimental to the character of the countryside".

Now a planning statement says the change of use would "complement the existing arrangements at Ashwicken Hall, and comprise a significant enhancement to the current agricultural field both in visual terms and a major uplift in biodiversity".
It describes Ashwicken Hall, on Church Lane, as "a grand property located within the countryside", adding the garden would provide "a high quality, beautiful and sustainable extension".
A decision from West Norfolk Council is expected next year.
