The mystery of a paint-covered car thought to be the target of trick-or-treating vandals has been revealed by an art teacher from north Norfolk.
The silver Vauxhall was first spotted by a concerned local in Kerridge Way, Holt, who thought the car had been vandalised on Halloween.
That is when Emma Blount, 57 - an art teacher from Hunworth - revealed that she had purposefully let some students give her car "a fresh new look" when teaching the works of Jackson Pollock, an artist known for throwing paint from tubes.
"A four-year-old was confused by whether I meant that he should paint a car on paper or actually paint my car," she said. "And I thought that it was a brilliant idea."
The 57-year-old has been teaching art to four to 16-year-olds for 10 years and likes to stress the importance of enjoying artistic expression as well as simply learning the skills.

"They were throwing paint directly from the tubes, outside, wearing ponchos, and they really loved it," she added. "Art is the one area where there's no rules.
"I get some funny looks but I feel amazing driving my Jackson Pollock car.
"There's no such thing as bad art. I just want children to enjoy it."
Now that the paint is beginning to fade, the teacher has decided to organise a new Christmas-themed car painting event in Hunworth village hall.
The workshop will run on December 21 and children will be able to create their own faux-glass Christmas decorations and give the silver Vauxhall yet another fresh new look.
