Plans for two new homes have been turned down after fears were raised over their impact on nearby trees.
Dale Hambilton applied for outline planning permission for two new self-build properties at Ashwicken, near King's Lynn.
He said in a planning statement the development would be built on an "infill" site between existing properties on Well Hall Lane, which is currently a garden.

But West Norfolk Council's tree officer said in a report: "While I understand this is an outline application with all matters reserved, the indicative layout shows two large dwellings, which appear to be in direct conflict with existing trees on site."
He said the applicant had not considered the potential impact of the development on the trees, adding: "It appears that the proposal in its current form will be harmful to existing trees."
The council's planning portal says the application has now been refused.
