A town's play park may be set for a new lease of life with "exciting" upgrade plans in the works.
Bungay Town Council has announced that the children’s play area at King’s Road Recreation Area will undergo renovations with a budget of £50,000.
But first the authority is inviting contractors to come forward with proposals.
The council is looking for the park to be equipped for five- to eleven-year-olds, with "a range of modern, durable, and exciting play equipment".

The plan also includes "comfortable benches and additional amenities to make the area enjoyable for everyone".
The budget for the project includes the removal of existing equipment, supply and installation of new play equipment, safety surfacing, and associated groundworks.

Rosalind Barnett, Bungay town clerk, said: "It is expected that the project will be funded from a variety of external funding sources.
"Once the council has chosen three top designs, the community will have a chance to give feedback on the proposals before the final selection is made."
Designs are to be submitted by January 17 to Bungay Town Council.
