A pre-application bid has been submitted looking at whether plans could be lodged to demolish a doctors surgery to make way for a house.

Blakeney Surgery has been a source of controversy since Holt Medical Practice, which runs the site, announced its closure earlier this year.

The site was due to close on November 7, but remains temporarily open for medicines ordering and collection.

The Holt practice has already sent an application to install 'pharamabox' machines outside Blakeney Village Hall and Holt Medical Practice to offer a 24-hour dispensary service.

However, if the planning application for the PharmaBox24 is denied, Holt Medical Practice has announced that Blakeney surgery "will close without an alternative local solution in place".
