Award-winning novelist Ali Smith is set to return to Norwich to present her latest novel.
Ms Smith, known for her Seasonal Quartet series, will discuss Gliff.
It's a novel described as a "moving and genre-bending story about our era-spanning search for meaning and knowing" and is a nods to dystopian fiction and the Kafkaesque.
It is the first of two planned novel - the second, titled Glyph, is expected to be published in 2025.
The term Gliff is a Scottish word meaning a shock, fright, transient moment, glance, or sudden glimpse.
The evening will see former chief executive Chris Gribble will interview Ms Smith about her career and book and will conclude with a book signing.
Ms Smith, born in Inverness in 1962, has been shortlisted for the Booker Prize four times and has won numerous awards including the Goldsmiths Prize and the Women’s Prize.
- The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 21 at 6.30pm, at the University of East Anglia's Lecture Theatre 1. Tickets are priced at £10 (£8 for concessions, £5 for students).
