A Norfolk supplier of resin bound materials used for driveways has been acquired by a Derbyshire-based firm in a multi-million-pound deal.
Resins R Us, based in Colton, between Norwich and Dereham, has been acquired by Derbyshire Specialist Aggregates.
Resins R Us is a family-owned business specialising in supplying resin bound materials across the UK.
Known as ‘stone carpets’, resin bound surfaces are made by mixing resin and aggregates to create a mixture that can be trowelled onto a surface to provide a smooth, flat finish, and are mostly used for driveways.

Resins R Us will continue to operate and be run as an independent division, and there will be no interruptions to service or deliveries. All customer contacts and buying processes will be unchanged.
Daniel Lake, managing director, will continue to lead the Resins R Us operation, and all sales, operations and senior management teams will be unaffected.
Mr Lake said: “The customer has always been and will always be our main priority.
"We are so proud of our reputation for excellence in care and delivery and now, backed by the experience, resources and shared values of Derbyshire Specialist Aggregates, we have a fantastic opportunity to improve and expand that even further.”
Established in 1984, Derbyshire Specialist Aggregates has expanded from its original site in Youlgrave, Derbyshire, and the acquisition adds to its eight existing sites across the UK.

"Combining the resources and expertise of both companies will enable us to further improve resin bound products and services and ensure all customers receive the very best – from state-of-the-art manufacturing to exceptional customer service and delivery standards.
"Of course, this also strengthens our national coverage with a site in East Anglia.”
