A design and technology teacher has been recognised with a top award for her efforts to inspire the next generation to enter the tech industry.
Amanda Moffat, a teacher from Alderman Peel High School in Wells-next-the-Sea, was among the winners at the national D&T Association Awards last month.
Mrs Moffat was the recipient of the Outstanding Industry Engagement award at the ceremony, which was held at the British Motor Museum last month.
The award celebrated the teacher's efforts to build partnerships with local businesses and industry experts to create opportunities for her pupils they would not ordinarily get in the classroom.
As the schools science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) coordinator, she also set up a club where pupils can further explore the subjects.
She was nominated for the prize by the school's assistant principal, Ban Tawana, who said: "I have been staggered, not only by the number of events offered to the students, but the quality of the learning that takes place."
Mrs Moffat said: "I feel incredibly proud and privileged to have received this award.
"I would like to say special thanks to our STEM club sponsors - Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm via Norfolk Community Foundation, Scillitoe Bros Garage, Holkham Estate and Wells Carnival - for their continued support."
