The finalists for the Employer of the Year award have been announced at the EDP Business Awards 2024.

Atkinson Moss
An accountancy, office and IT recruitment agency based in Norwich, Atkinson Moss recently celebrated a major milestone with a vibrant rebrand.
Its 13-strong team aims to provide impactful recruitment that enhances businesses in the region, and is committed to trust and excellence.
It has formed lasting relationships while propelling clients to new heights of success.
Every member of the team brings their own unique charm and personality, and Atkinson Moss encourages them to embrace their strengths.
The judges had high praise for the “great energy and culture within the business” at Atkinson Moss. Along with a “strong USP which makes it stand out against its competition”, the firm also demonstrated a strong commitment to incentivising
the team to do their best.
Flagship Group
Flagship Group is a Norwich-based housing provider offering over 32,000 homes for social rent across the East of England.
The group includes three housing associations – Victory, Newtide and Samphire – as well as Flagship Services, which maintains and improves homes and green spaces, development arm Flagship Homes, heating company Gasway and homelessness charity Hopestead.
Partnering with 19 local authorities, along with other housing associations and businesses, the group has invested almost £400m in building new affordable and social homes since 2020.
The judges said “it was phenomenal to see the offering that flagship provided its employees, partners, customers and community”. They felt that the company is “leading the way in terms of training” with both in-house and accredited options.
Indigo Swan
Indigo Swan is an independent, award-winning energy consultancy based in Norwich.
The firm helps businesses make quick, easy and well-informed decisions about their energy on their journey to net zero, from finding the right supplier to checking and negotiating contracts.
Indigo Swan refocused its strategy on sustainability and renewable energy last year, and has now positioned itself as a leader in this sector, regularly speaking at external events on the sustainable technologies available and offering advice and guidance to a range of businesses.
Indigo Swan’s “amazing team connection” caught the eye of the judges, who said the business has its “finger on the pulse of being a modern and engaging employer”. Its focus on coaching team members in the areas where they most need support was also commended.
Richardsons Leisure
Richardsons Leisure is a tourism, leisure and hospitality business with an award-winning boating holidays marina in Stalham, five-star holiday park in Hemsby and day boat marina in Wroxham. It also runs two family entertainment centres and two coffee shops.
The company employs around 200 team members during peak times and is a Real Living Wage employer. It recently received Investors in People Gold accreditation for its commitment to developing and training staff, along with its impressive reward and recognition schemes and wellbeing benefits.
It has been an “incredible year” for Richardsons, according to the judges, with new developments and “exciting plans” for the future. They said that the business “brings all its colleagues along on the journey from plan phase to execution”.
