Two cottages in need of modernisation can be knocked down and replaced with new homes.
Northlands Farm has been given planning permission to demolish Nos 1 and 2 Rustons Cottages on Rands Drove, at Marshland St James, near Wisbech.
It said in a planning statement: "While one of the existing dwellings on site was occupied until recently and in a reasonable state of repair, both dwellings require extensive refurbishment to bring them up to modern housing standards and meet energy efficiency standards for rental properties, and it was felt the most sustainable way to achieve this is their demolition and rebuilding."

It adds the semi-detached three-bed homes are poorly-insulated and heated by electric storage heaters.
They will be replaced by two slightly larger detached properties.
Marshland St James parish Council supported the plans and said it was "keen to see progress" on the site.
