Insight Energy, a sister title of the Eastern Daily Press and East Anglian Daily Times, is joining forces with East Wind, the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) and GENERATE to represent the East of England at the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) 2024.
This event will be held on November 26-27 at RAI Amsterdam, welcoming more than 500 exhibitors and 10,000 offshore energy professionals from around the world.
At the East of England Stand 2.104, attendees are invited to enjoy a coffee with representatives from the East of England and discuss exciting developments in the region's energy sector.
The stand will also host the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA).
OEEC 2024 will feature a robust programme including technical sessions, in-depth insights into renewable and conventional energy sources, and strategic discussions on transitioning to sustainable energy.
With a central theme of ‘Connect and Collaborate’, the event seeks to provide a platform for companies, innovators and policymakers across the offshore energy value chain to share expertise and drive sustainable energy solutions.
Karen Freeman, general manager of EEEGR, expressed her enthusiasm about the region's collaborative presence.
“By coming together as Insight Energy, East Wind, EEEGR, GENERATE and NSTA, we’re showcasing the exceptional talent, innovation and resources that the East of England offers to the offshore energy industry,” she said.
“Collaboration like this is vital – not just to demonstrate our region’s strengths but to cultivate new partnerships that advance our energy ambitions on a global scale.”
Lexi Brackpool, project manager at East Wind, shared her pride in representing the East of England’s energy sector.
“Our region has a remarkable legacy in the offshore industry and a bright future as a leader in renewable energy," she said. "It’s a privilege to showcase this heritage and our forward-thinking projects to the international energy community.”
Ian Pease, business development manager representing GENERATE, added: “The East of England’s offshore energy capabilities are multi-faceted. Being able to showcase this at OEEC aligns closely with our ambitions to attract energy businesses to use our ports and establish operations across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex where they will benefit from a dedicated energy supply chain and a highly skilled workforce.”
Steve Maddams, energy brand specialist at LOCALiQ, publisher of Insight Energy, highlighted the significance of this joint effort.
“This partnership is a great opportunity to spotlight the East of England’s role in the energy sector and promote our region as a leader in sustainable energy solutions,” he said.
“We’re thrilled to work with key players such as EEEGR, East Wind, GENERATE and the NSTA and look forward to sharing our insights and vision for the future at OEEC 2024.”
