A restaurant with a view of the quay in a popular Norfolk seaside destination has closed.
Sands Restaurant in Wells-next-the-Sea gave customers panoramic views of the town's quay and served locally sourced fish and shellfish.
In 2022, the restaurant was featured on the Guardian's list as one of the best places to eat by the seaside.
More recently, the business announced it was the recipient of a Good Food Award on October 6, which it described as "an emotional win to say the least".
However, five days after the announcement, the business closed "due to unforeseen circumstances".
Cara Green, the business owner, said she was upset by the decision but thanked the restaurant's customers for their continued support.
Ms Green has worked at the restaurant since 2013 and then bought it three years later.
She said: "Thank you to all the locals and visitors who have supported us over the years.
"It has meant so much to us as a team and I'm very grateful for the memories we've made."
