Entries are now open for the Project of the Year Award, sponsored by Stowen Group, at the East Anglia Clean & Green Awards 2025.

The Project of the Year award will recognise initiatives that have made a telling environmental impact.

Kane Ford, general manager at award sponsor Stowen Group, said he is hoping to see submissions that highlight “cutting-edge technologies, sustainable methodologies and tangible results”.

He added: “Ideal entries should reflect strong teamwork, effective community involvement and successful outcomes that tackle real-world challenges related to energy transition and environmental responsibility.”

Simply entering this award is a valuable exercise for businesses, Mr Ford explained.

“It presents an opportunity to receive recognition for innovative efforts and dedication,” he said. “Furthermore, this award acts as a valuable platform for networking, collaboration and knowledge exchange, inspiring others while showcasing a commitment to sustainability and excellence.”

“Additionally, it can instil confidence in their initiatives and strategies, encouraging others in the industry to strive for excellence and innovation,” he added.

Innovation is a key judging criteria for this award, and Mr Ford will be keeping an eye out for this in all entries.

“Projects that incorporate innovative strategies not only meet existing demands but also set the stage for future progress,” he said.

“By emphasising innovation, we encourage entrants to think outside the box and challenge conventional practices, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable energy landscape.”

For Mr Ford, a successful project is “one that achieves specific objectives while positively impacting the environment and local communities”.

“It should produce measurable results, such as decreased emissions or enhanced energy efficiency,” he added.
