A delegation from Ukraine that included their regional military head visited Norfolk last week.
The group from Lviv arrived with the aim to strengthen cultural, economic and scientific ties between the two regions.
The visit began with an exhibition of modern Ukrainian art at The Forum, followed by a performance of Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine at Norwich Theatre Royal.
The group also visited Norwich Research Park and the new orthopaedic centre at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.
Their final stop was County Hall where they discussed the democratic process with their Norfolk counterparts.
Maksym Kozytskyy, head of Lviv Regional Military State Administration, said: “It has been an honour for me to finally meet our partners from Norfolk County Council."
Councillor Kay Mason Billig, leader of the council, said: “This visit has taught us the value of cooperation and friendship with our partners from Lviv."
The visit follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Norfolk and Lviv in May.
