People are being urged to dress up in festive fancy dress and dash along a seafront to raise money for a hospice.
St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice is encouraging people to participate in its 2024 Santa Dash.
The fun run is set to take place on Sunday, December 8, at midday on Gorleston Promenade.
Sponsored by Persimmon Homes, the Santa Dash will see participants don Santa outfits and Christmas-themed fancy dress for either a sponsored family fun run or a 5k timed run along Gorleston's cliff top and promenade.
The event aims to raise funds for St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice, which in partnership with East Coast Community Healthcare, has cared for more than 5,000 patients and their families in Great Yarmouth and Waveney since April 2019.
Brandon Orton, events and challenges fundraiser at St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice, said: “After such a brilliant event last year, we are thrilled to bring back the Santa Dash to Gorleston this December in support of St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice.
“It will be a great opportunity to join together with the communities of Great Yarmouth and Waveney to raise funds that support our vital services in the area.
"These services provide essential care to patients and families during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
“Santa Dash is sure to be full of festive fun, so make sure to book your places now and show your support for your local hospice this Christmas.”
Last year's Santa Dash raised more than £7,000 for the hospice.
Entry for the 5k race is £15 and open to all over the age of 18, with the fee including a Santa hat, a souvenir medal, and trophies for the winners.
Entry for the 2k race is £10 for adults and £8 for children, and also includes a hat and medal.
