Ahead of World Pasta Day on October 25, the Good Food Guide has rounded up the best places in Britain to enjoy the Italian dish. 

Benoli in Orford Street, Norwich, features in the list of 43 restaurants and it is the only place in East Anglia that is mentioned. 

It is described as a "gem of an Italian restaurant" in the Good Food Guide.

Its listing continues: "Chef-owner Oliver Boon's menus reflect his lifelong love affair with Italian foodways and highlighted names on his classy CV include Gordon Ramsay and Michael Roux Jr.

"Expectations are high and you won't be disappointed."

Mr Boon, who was a finalist on MasterChef: The Professionals in 2012, opened Benoli in 2019.

It earned high praise from renowned food critic Grace Dent who said in a 2022 review: "If this place was closer to my house, I would eat here a lot". 

Sister restaurant Bar Certida opened in London Street in 2023. 

It serves Spanish-inspired tapas plates as well as larger fish and meat courses, with everything designed to be shared.
