A man has been taken to hospital after an air ambulance was called to a serious crash near Thetford.
Emergency services were called to the A1066 in Brettenham at about 8.30pm on Tuesday following reports that a car had left the road and entered a ditch.
A Norfolk Constabulary spokeswoman confirmed the driver was breathalysed and scored 218 - more than six times the legal limit of 35.
All the wrong records being broken yesterday as a driver blew 218 at the roadside in Shadwell, when officers came across him and his vehicle in a ditch on the A1066.

The man, aged in his 50s, was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The road reopened just after midnight.
