A man has been arrested following a knife attack in Norwich.

The attack happened on Monday when the victim, a man in his 40s, suffered knife wounds in the Ber Street area between the junctions of Thorn Lane and Horns Lane.

He then went to the Walk-in Centre in Rouen Road at 4.30pm and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The suspect is currently being questioned at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre.

Detective Sergeant Andy Collinson said: “This happened at a busy time of day so we are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw what happened in the time leading up to it, or the aftermath.

“The same goes for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage which could help the investigation.

“We are in the early stages of our inquiries but we can say that we do believe the two men were known to each other.”
