Plans have been lodged for a new visitor centre and café in a country park.

The application for Broadland Country Park proposes building a visitors centre and café, along with three publicly accessible toilets, including baby changing facilities, and staff facilities such as a changing room and store.

Plans for the development north of Norwich were unveiled earlier in September.

A planning document submitted to Broadland District Council says: "The new visitor centre and café will enhance public amenities at the site, improving toilet facilities, parking, and accessibility.

"Given the park's growing popularity, upgrading these facilities is essential.

"The landscape proposals for the visitor centre are designed to work with the existing sensitive landscape and minimise impacts where possible."

Broadland Country Park is located on the north-western outskirts of Norwich, between the villages of Horsford and Felthorpe.

The park is free to access and features a variety of trails suitable for walking, horseback riding, and cycling.
