A reveller attending the Sundown music festival had a spiked knuckle duster.
Crimea Price, 23, was found with the weapon after being stopped by security staff while attending the weekend event at the Norfolk Showground on August 30.
Norwich Magistrates’ Court was told the item, which had 2.5cm spikes, was discovered after the self-employed gardener had been pulled aside for extra checks when seen acting suspiciously.
Nicola Lamb, prosecuting, said: “It was taken to this busy festival but had not been brandished at the point it was discovered.”
Prince, of Brockfield Road in Mendlesham in Suffolk, pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Ralph Gillam, mitigating, said he had been planning to camp at the event and it had been an oversight that the item was in his washbag.
“He did not take it to use or threaten anyone with it,” he added.
The court was told his oversight had cost him the £300 ticket price as he had been refused entry to the event as well as being arrested.
He was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs of £133.
