A pub in North Norfolk has had to apply for retrospective planning permission for a massive bin shelter.

The retrospective plans have been lodged with North Norfolk District Council for the bin shelter at the Ship Inn in Mundesley.

A planning document states: "This is a small fence and slatted roof around bins and has already been done."

The description of change of use states the store is "a slatted wooden fence and lid surrounding the bins".

The plans were lodged by owners of The Ship Inn, Bluebell Hospitality.

The Ship Inn is one of the oldest pubs on the North Norfolk coast and has been named one of the best in England.
