An historic building in a Broadland town could be getting 48 solar panels.
Plans have been lodged to install 48 solar panels in the 19th century garden of West Lodge in Rawlinson's Lane, Aylsham.
West Lodge is a grade II listed building that dates back to the 17th century.
According to a planning document, the panels will be ground-mounted, on a section of garden in which the owner "has struggled to grow anything".

The 48 panels will be positioned in an 8x6 grid of 10mx10.8m.
The panels will be mounted 1m above the ground with a slight pitch of 1pc.
They will have a life of 25 years and a power output of 21.12kw.
A planning document states: "The use of the buildings and formal garden would largely be unaffected by the proposal, with just a small part of the garden taken out of horticultural use for a period of 25 years.
"Nevertheless, the formal garden which will host the solar array has a clear historic association with West Lodge and is itself a designated asset."
The plans are pending consideration by Broadland District Council.
A survey published by the Norfolk Gardens Trust in 1997 lists West Lodge as a site of historic importance.
