Rail services have been halted after a freight train hit a vehicle at a level crossing.
The incident happened at around 3pm between Peterborough and Ely.
Services are currently unable to pass between these locations as a result.

Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
Disruption is expected until further notice.

Greater Anglia, East Midland and Cross Country trains are all affected and rail replacement buses are being arranged and passengers are being warned to check before they travel.
The current extent of any injuries remains unknown.
