The owners of a riverside property have been given the go-ahead to construct their own fishing platform.
A couple, named as Mr and Mrs Clements in planning paper, has been granted planning permission for the wooden structure on the banks of St Peters Road in Upwell, near Downham Market.
It will allow the pair to cast their lines into the picturesque Well Creek, which flows through the village and contains coarse fish such as roach, rudd, bream and pike.
Upwell Parish Council said it supported the application subject to a water vole survey of the site.

An ecologist said there were vole burrows on either side of the proposed platform.
But his report added the works were "small in scale and localised" and their long-term effect was "unlikely to be significant".
A planning statement said riverside vegetation would be disturbed "as little as possible".
