A café in a market town has raised hundreds of pounds to help fix damage caused during a burglary.
The Roots Community Café in Queen Street, Wymondham, opened in 2017 to help build a stronger local community while raising money for those most vulnerable in the town.
But the business - which is inside Wymondham Baptist Church - was forced to close last Tuesday after an overnight raid.
Following the break-in, a GoFundMe was set up which has since raised £745 with locals keen to support a community spot that has always served them.
A spokesman for the café said: "We are determined not to let this incident stop us from reaching out to our community.
“The actions of a few do not define our community.
"We look forward to seeing all our friends as we get back to normal."
The café was left without a safe, with minor equipment missing and the need for new security measures following the break-in.
Roots reopened the following day and a spokeswoman for Norfolk Constabulary said enquiries are still ongoing.
