Traffic chaos has caused shoppers to be stuck for more than three hours in a supermarket's car park this afternoon.
Drivers doing their weekly shopping at Tesco Extra in Dereham have been met with lengthy delays when trying to leave the store's perimeter.
Shoppers have reportedly been stuck in standstill traffic for more than three hours, with reports of a vehicle not moving a single car width in 45 minutes.
The massive log jam has created concerns about people's now not-so-frozen goods.
The gridlock has been in the area from before 11am with disgruntled drivers making calls to police to help resolve the issue in Kingston Road.
One mother has even had to call a neighbour for help on the school run after being stuck for nearly four hours.
The reported cause of the issue is a burst water main.
Emergency works taking place near the Railway Tavern in Yaxham Road have been labelled as the culprit for the delays.
Norfolk County Council have been contacted for comment.
