A village's "dangerous" skate park has been condemned after it failed to meet health and safety standards in a recent inspection. 

The half pipe at Tasburgh Village Hall, Grove Lane, has been barred from use because it is no longer "fit for purpose".

An evaluation carried out by the village hall found the equipment suffering from severe wear and tear and a target for graffiti, some of which was called "very unpleasant".

"I would also add that the sign stating usage rules for the ramp that was only recently updated and replaced has also disappeared.

Village hall staff will dismantle the equipment "as soon as possible" and have issued a warning to parents to keep their children away from it until it can be replaced. 

The timeline for the replacement is not currently known but a separate ramp can still be used.
