A group representing Norfolk's farm secretaries is hosting a social evening to encourage more people to explore varied careers in rural administration.
The Norfolk branch of the Institute of Agricultural Secretaries and Administrators (IAgSA) will hold its harvest celebration and new members evening from 7pm on October 17 at the Morley Agricultural Foundation, in Morley St Botolph near Wymondham.
The organisation aims to support anyone considering a career change, or who is already working on a farm or in a rural office - whether full-time, part-time, self-employed, or even just contributing a few hours to help farming family or friends.
The event offers a chance to "meet like-minded people to bounce ideas, network, gain hints and tips" - with advice on topics ranging from career pathways to accountancy.
Evening speakers include national council member Hannah Stevenson, who will discuss mentoring and offer insights on how new entrants into the industry can be supported by existing members.
