Plans have been agreed for two new homes off a narrow street despite concerns over lack of parking.

MNP Developments has been given planning permission to convert a former industrial store on William Street in King's Lynn.

Eight objections were received. One said: "William Street is barely the width of two average family cars, it is the norm for someone trying to drive along William Street to be forced to mount the kerb in order to drive from one end of the street to the other, as residents park the whole length of the street."

Another added: "Living opposite this property I object to this application, this area is already struggling with too much traffic and lack of parking. Both these issues would be heavily impacted by any construction work and then by additional housing."

MNP said in a planning statement: "The proposed scheme to change the use and convert the existing industrial building which is currently surrounded by residential properties to two dwellings will utilise the building for a more suited use appropriate to the area and surroundings."
