The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) is hosting workshops to gather insights into North Norfolk's marine environment.

These workshops will take place in Cromer, King's Lynn, and Hunstanton this month.

The aim is to understand how communities engage in recreational activities along the coast and inshore marine area.

This will aid the MMO's future efforts to safeguard the region's marine habitats and species.

The workshops will be held on October 15 in King's Lynn from 6pm to 8.30pm, and on October 16 in Hunstanton from 1.30pm to 4pm.

In Cromer, sessions will take place on October 16 from 6pm to 8.30pm and on October 17 from 1.30pm to 4pm.

Online workshops are scheduled for November 4 and 6.

Light refreshments will be provided at each session, and participants will be encouraged to share their experiences of the North Norfolk coastline.

This includes activities such as sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, powerboating, swimming, kayaking, diving, snorkelling, and paddleboarding.

The workshops will support the MMO's Marine Conservation Team in ensuring that the diverse values associated with North Norfolk's marine areas are considered in future management decisions regarding recreational activities.

This excludes fishing, which is managed by other agencies.
