A woman hopes to extend her home so she can continue living in it into old her age.
Kate Clodd has applied for planning permission to make alterations to her listed property on Church Plain at Wells.
A planning statement says: "The design brief was to provide a bedroom with an accessible shower room on the ground floor, which would adapt and future-proof the dwelling to the applicant's needs.
"The applicant has lived in the property for a long time and would like to continue doing so as she ages."

It adds the extension will also contain an open-plan kitchen and utility area, along with a link to the rear garden.
"This is important for the applicant, who rides her bicycle regularly and would like to store it in a garden shed," it says.
It adds the extension will improve the appearance of the rear of the property, which dates back to the 18th century and is Grade II listed.
