A dessert bar with a difference opened in a seaside town at the weekend and it was a sell-out success. 

Megan Hart, 33, is behind the new business Crumble Crib in Sheringham, located on the corner of Gun Street opposite Grey Seal Coffee. 

It is in the former home of Joyful West's Shellfish Bar, which closed in 2022 after more than 100 years in business.

Customers can build their own crumble desserts to takeaway, starting by choosing a fruit base of either apple and cinnamon, mixed berries or half and half.

They then select a crumble, with a vegan option available, and finally a topping of either blow-torched marshmallow or frozen, hot, cold or crème brûlée custard.

Mrs Hart said: "The first weekend was fantastic, we had queues outside and everyone said how delicious it was.

"We had to close early on Sunday as we sold out.

"Our shop is something completely different for the town." 

Mrs Hart also owns Winibees Bakery along the High Street in Sheringham, which sells a range of sweet treats. 

Crumble Crib is currently open on Saturdays and Sundays only from 11am to 4pm.
