A man who strangled a former partner was among the criminals who were sentenced in Norfolk last week.
Stephen Tweed
Stephen Tweed, 68, appeared at King's Lynn Crown Court on Thursday where the court heard he downloaded more than 600 indecent images.
Ian James, prosecuting, said they found a USB stick containing more than 600 indecent images - including 434 Category A (the most serious) and 170 videos of which almost 70 were also Category A.
Tweed, currently of HMP Norwich, but formerly of Samphire in Gaywood, was jailed for 18 months.
Kyle Warner
Kyle Warner, 25, picked up and threw a Perspex screen injuring one woman during a furious argument on June 4.
He also assaulted another woman during the incident at Sam’s Local Shopper on the village green in Pulham Market.
He was sentenced at Norwich Magistrates’ Court to a community order with a requirement to complete 300 hours of unpaid work and 10 rehabilitation days.
He was also ordered to pay costs of £199.
Findlay Townend
Findlay Townsend, of Old Market Street, appeared at King's Lynn Court on Friday after he admitted a series of offences, including coercive and controlling behaviour with respect to his former partners.
The court heard the 21-year-old put his arm around the throat of one partner as she tried to get up from the bed before later wrapping his legs around her neck saying "night night, you can go to sleep now".
Imposing a sentence of 40 months custody, Recorder Paul Garlick said it had been "continuing conduct which involved coercive conduct and extreme violence".
He said these were "extremely serious offences".
Ernesta Karalius
Ernesta Karalius, of Higham Green, King's Lynn, appeared in court after admitting assault occasioning actual bodily harm and three counts of possessing a knife in a public place.
Karalius, 24, had initially become aggressive towards the woman he had been lodging with after he split from his girlfriend.
Norwich Crown Court heard she called her son who came round to her home in King's Lynn to help and protect her.
Chris Youell, prosecuting, said the son asked Karalius to leave but he became aggressive and punched him in the face, leading him to fall over and bang his head on a radiator.
Mr Youell said the victim's mother tried to stop the defendant who went into the kitchen and picked up three knives before leaving.
Imposing a 21-month jail sentence, suspended for two years, Judge Andrew Shaw said it was a "serious assault".
Karalius was also ordered to pay £2,000 compensation as well as undertake 200 hours of unpaid work.
James Smith
James Smith, 47, of Stacy Road, Norwich, went to Yalm food hall in the Royal Arcade and took items from a member of staff's bag, including her debit card.
He then went to Morrison's and spent £65 on the card.
Appearing at Norwich Magistrates' Court, Smith pleaded guilty to one charge of trespassing, for entering Yalm, and one of fraud in relation to the incident on September 18.
The judge said that Smith had an "appalling record" with more than 390 offences to his name.
He issued him a 12-month suspended sentence and ordered him to pay £500 in victim charges.
