A college has revealed plans for a new "green skills" academy, which will teach students the skills they need to work in sustainable industries.
The College of West Anglia has applied to build the two-storey centre on its Wisbech campus, formerly known as Isle College.
It says in its application: "The new Green Skills Academy building will provide modern teaching facilities including three workshops, a multi-use studio and associated ancillary facilities.

"In addition to the building an area of hard standing is proposed to the west of the site to include a materials storage structure required to support the activities of the new building and the adjacent construction skills workshop."
The site, next to Churchill Road, has been vacant since a former teaching block which stood on it was demolished in 2008.
The college adds: "The new building will provide vocational training opportunities for local students to develop relevant skills and qualifications for the jobs market."
